CONFERENCE
Local and Global Invariants of Singularities   »In Honor of Jean-Paul Brasselet for his 70th Birthday »
February 23 – 27, 2015
Singularity theory has strong interactions with algebraic geometry and algebraic topology. The study of global and local invariants of maps and spaces provides important features in these fields as well as theoretical physics.

The subjects we will concentrate on are the ones in which there have been the most significant recent developments:

– Characteristic classes of singular varieties,
– Local indices,
– Invariants of toric varieties,
– Hyperplane arrangements,
– Motivic and topological invariants of algebraic sets.
– Hodge theory of singularities
